Texas We Love You

No one can really know the pain and turmoil you are experiencing.  I lived in Houston for 17 years, and went through Allison, (Katrina survivors),  Rita and Ike, while feeling nervous , anxious and unnerving, but also trusting in God that everything would work out. Even though I went through these trying times I can never image the devastation you are experiencing now.  This was an unprecedented event. In Houston alone you experienced enough water to go over Niagara Falls for 15 days.  More than 32,000 people across Texas were in shelters. It has affected over 100,000 homes.

You have demonstrated fortitude, courage, caring, determination and strength to the rest of the country.  We have seen you in the worst physical conditions, yet the best coming from you in attitude and spirit. We want you to know that we are standing with you in prayer, hope(which is the expectation of good) and financial support.

We know that no amount of words can make up for what you have loss, but we just want you to know that the giants you faced will be defeated.  You will arise into greatness as you make the steps to recover and rebuild.  As we watch you form a human chain to rescue a man stuck in his truck we were encouraged.  Know that every trial has an appointed end.  You are more than a conqueror and your circumstances will not defeat you. We bless you to see your future greater than your presence situation and not to be overwhelmed by the task in front of you. We believe that God will give you the ability to “bite your elephant one bite at a time.” We believe that we will see you in the coming days and years produce such tenacity and fervent spirit that it will cause us to be amazed.

Houston know that you are a trend setter and a producer of greatness! We are taking note how you will use this situation and demonstrate who you are to the rest of the world! You will rise again!!!
